Whether or not we are caring for others, we must always care for ourselves. Our Compassion Circle workshops and courses are fee-based and open to anyone interested in a deeper exploration of their inner selves.

Anthony Metten is a speaker, coach, trainer, and host of our Online Care Circles. We invite you to join Anthony in this opportunity to experience new dimensions of healing and self-exploration through Inner Journey Breathwork.

Inner Journey Breathwork is a breathing technique that begins slowly flowing energy through your body and unwinds chronically held tension throughout the body and nervous system. Many participants notice among other things, a greatly improved emotional state and a decrease in levels of stress as a result of doing this process.

Participants are guided through a 45 – 60 minute breathing session using an open mouth technique while listening to chakra-tuned music that begins to slowly flow energy through their body.

Breathwork can:

  • Alleviate anxiety and depression, and reduce stress, worry, and mental rumination
  • Support emotional release
  • Support nervous system regulation and the resilience to meet the experiences of life
  • Support the resolution and integration of traumatic energy and fear
  • Balance energy and enhance vitality
  • Promote mental clarity
  • Expand awareness and open new pathways of seeing and understanding
  • Connect you to the deepest dimensions of yourself

Breathwork is proven to dampen the “default mode network” of the brain, which can lead to a reduction in mental noise and rumination. Often people experience this as a timelessness and transcendence of the ego-mind. In this state, insight, memory, or visions may arise. This can also be a time to have inspirations about new projects and creative endeavors. There is often an experience of drifting into a state of liminality, like the space between wakefulness and sleep, and perhaps even an experience of deep stillness and peace.

*Each Session is Limited to 25 people. There is a fee of $45 per session.

Housekeeping:

Participants will be laying down during the 45 to 60 minutes of breathing.

What You’ll Need:

  • blanket (no pillow)
  • eye mask (optional)
  • water
  • a quiet space where you won’t be interrupted

Participants who are new to BreathWork, or new to Breathing Spaces BreathWork with Anthony, should watch the preparation video that will be emailed to you upon registration to understand how to prepare yourself, your space, and how to breath during the BreathWork session.

Thank you for registering for the upcoming BreathWork session. Below are instructions for you to review prior to the session: ***IMPORTANT NOTE*** It is required that you watch our introductory video (linked below) as soon as possible prior to the session to prepare yourself for this unique opportunity as we will not be discussing the "Hows & Whats" before we start the session. http://www.breathingspacesfc.com/intro-to-breathwork/ Below are items that you will need to have with you to ensure you get the most out of the session: To prepare: • Participants often feel hungry during BreathWork so you will want to have eaten a lite meal within a reasonable amount of time before the session, but nothing too heavy as that can cause you to fall asleep and/or not fully experience the benefits of your work. To participate, you will need the following: • A private and quiet space where you can express vocals and not worry about anyone hearing (unless you don’t care). • A comfortable mat (yoga mat) to lay on. • A blanket to keep you warm (you’ll need one, I promise). • An eye mask (this could be as simple as a folded hand towel over your eyes). • The ability to lay down and have your computer/laptop camera pointed at your face/body so the facilitator can see you. • Earbuds/headphones so you can hear the facilitator and the music (you will be muted during the BreathWork). You may also want to carve out some time after to: • Hydrate • Reflect (Solitude) • Journal • Walk • Connect with someone close • Take an Epsom salt bath • Eat Please be sure to sign in at least 5-10 minutes early to be sure you are able to connect, and if you have any issues that day, please call or text Anthony at (408) 529-3778.
