SUMMARY:Journaling Journey
DESCRIPTION:Whether or not we are caring for others\, we must always care for ourselves. Our Journaling Journeys workshops are open to anyone interested in a deeper exploration of their inner selves. \nCindy Gum is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and was also a caregiver for her husband Stan for fifteen years. After her husband’s death in 2020\, she began to realize how much her journaling practice had helped her hold on through the emotional challenges and difficulties she had faced. She began a program and training at Stanford University in early 2022 to examine how she might help caregivers or anyone interested in being a giver of care to themselves\, develop better self-care and compassion\, through journaling. \n“I talk to my journal as my friend… and you can\, too. It is the holder of your story and your experiences\, thoughts and feelings. You can tell your journal about things you are trying to figure out\, answers you are trying to find\, challenges you are trying to overcome\, situations you need to either let go of\, or allow. It can become not only your best friend\, but a relationship that connects you to your authentic self.” \nJournaling Journeys (It’s an Inside Job) is for you if: \n\nYou are feeling lost in emotions and self-doubt.\nYou feel overwhelmed.\nYou’ve lost connection with yourself.\nEmotional depletion has you feeling anxious and uncertain.\nYou feel as though you need something that can help you but you are not sure what it is.\n\nSpecifically\, this journaling circle will provide: \n\nA clearly defined process for expressive writing/journaling and creating a journaling practice. The focus will be upon writing and self-reflection – what you need in order to create better self – care and compassionate conversations with yourself.\nA way in which you can cultivate an intimate and kind relationship with yourself that can offer guidance and clarity. How long has it been since you made a new friend?\n\nCindy offers Journaling Journeys\, which will meet on Zoom\, on the third Saturday of each month from 10-11:30 AM Pacific Time. While journaling is a great tool for caregivers\, this program is open to anyone interested in becoming a better giver-of-care to themselves. \nEvent Registration ends 48 hours before the event starts.

SUMMARY:Inner Journey Breathwork
DESCRIPTION:Brought to you by Anthony Metten in the comfort of your own home. \nWhether or not we are caring for others\, we must always care for ourselves. Our Compassion Circle workshops and courses are fee-based and open to anyone interested in a deeper exploration of their inner selves. \nAnthony Metten is a speaker\, coach\, trainer\, and host of our Online Care Circles. We invite you to join Anthony in this opportunity to experience new dimensions of healing and self-exploration through Inner Journey Breathwork. \nInner Journey Breathwork is a breathing technique that begins slowly flowing energy through your body and unwinds chronically held tension throughout the body and nervous system. Many participants notice among other things\, a greatly improved emotional state and a decrease in levels of stress as a result of doing this process. \nParticipants are guided through a 45 – 60 minute breathing session using an open mouth technique while listening to chakra-tuned music that begins to slowly flow energy through their body. \nMany participants notice\, among other things\, a greatly improved emotional state and a decrease in levels of stress as a result of doing this process. \nBreathwork can: \n\nAlleviate anxiety and depression\, and reduce stress\, worry\, and mental rumination\nSupport emotional release\nSupport nervous system regulation and the resilience to meet the experiences of life\nSupport the resolution and integration of traumatic energy and fear\nBalance energy and enhance vitality\nPromote mental clarity\nExpand awareness and open new pathways of seeing and understanding\nConnect you to the deepest dimensions of yourself\n\nBreathwork is proven to dampen the “default mode network” of the brain\, which can lead to a reduction in mental noise and rumination. Often people experience this as a timelessness and transcendence of the ego-mind. In this state\, insight\, memory\, or visions may arise. This can also be a time to have inspirations about new projects and creative endeavors. There is often an experience of drifting into a state of liminality\, like the space between wakefulness and sleep\, and perhaps even an experience of deep stillness and peace. \n*Each Session is Limited to 25 people. There is a fee of $45 per session. \n\n\nHousekeeping:\n\nParticipants will be laying down during the 45 to 60 minutes of breathing. \nWhat You’ll Need: \n\nblanket (no pillow)\neye mask (optional)\nwater\na quiet space where you won’t be interrupted\n\nParticipants who are new to BreathWork\, or new to Breathing Spaces BreathWork with Anthony\, should watch the preparation video that will be emailed to you upon registration to understand how to prepare yourself\, your space\, and how to breath during the BreathWork session. \n\nFor questions\, please contact Anthony by email using the Organizer link below. \n*Please log in fifteen minutes early. \nTicket sales end 48 hours prior to the event’s start time.
